Cowboys’ Mike McCarthy’s stiff-armed cameraman after loss to 49ers

Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy was caught pushing a cameraman away after the team’s 19-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

An Associated Press photographer captured the reaction. McCarthy appeared to push the camera away as he left Levi’s Stadium.

Noah Bullard, the Dallas-area photojournalist who received the push, wrote in a tweet that he met with McCarthy privately and the coach apologized.

“Thank you to everyone who contacted the Mike McCarthy incident,” Bullard wrote. “I can see how the photo came across as if he was pushing me, but it was more of a hand to the lens. I met Coach McCarthy privately in his office and he apologised. “

It was a tough night for McCarthy and the Cowboys.

Dak Prescott finished 24 of 37 with 206 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The team had 282 total rushing yards and was 5 for 15 on third down.

“Just disappointment,” Prescott said of her performance. “The defense gave us the opportunity to win this game. They played hard against a very, very good attack, a very good team. For us to only score the points we made is unacceptable. This start with me. I’ve got to be better. There’s no other way to coat it.”

McCarthy admitted the emotions were running high.

“It’s very difficult,” McCarthy said via Yahoo Sports. “At times like these, you just have to be real and authentic. … It’s raw in the locker room right now.”
