Maybe it was one of the best movies of 2022, but The Banshees of Inisherinthe film from writer-director Martin McDonagh starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, becomes one of the most talked about films of the year, thanks in part to its big night at the 2023 Golden Globes. McDonagh’s award-winning drama is set in 1923 on the island of Inisherin and centers on two friends (and a mini pet donkey you may have heard of named Jenny), Pádraic Súilleabháin (Farrell) and Colm Doherty ( Gleeson), who fell a little suddenly.
